Importing Hydrometric MeasurementsThe Field Visit Toolbox provides a powerful tool for ingesting hydrometric measurement information. The toolbox allows hand entering, importing, visualizing, and editing of discrete hydrometric field data such as benchmark level surveys, gauge height readings, area-velocity and ADCP stream flow measurements. The toolbox supports direct import from common field computer formats such as AquaCalc, Flowtracker, ADCP WinRiverII, Water Survey Canada HFC, and USGS HydroML. Automated Imports Using Hot FoldersWhen large volumes of data from data logger files needs to be imported and appended to the AQUARIUS system, either as part of a data migration or as an ongoing process with data from a telemetry system, AQUARIUS Hot Folders are the answer. AQUARIUS Hot Folders are file folders that the AQUARIUS Server watches for new data files. When a new data logger file is copied to the folder, AQUARIUS parses the file and appends the data onto the correct time series in the database. Hot Folders are setup using the same graphical user interface as the Import from File toolbox, so there is no need to write decode files, regular expressions, or perl scripts. |
