Even though the details are fuzzy it is interesting to inspect a long time-series of map images as a single image. As opposed to viewing the frames one at a time in an animation it is easier to inspect for spatial-temporal coherence in the model derived anomalies. For example, it is interesting to see how the anomalies of the infamous ‘dust bowl’ years of the dirty thirties don’t really stand out as being particularly unusual or special in any way.
