The Sample Tracking and Receiving System (STARS) is a solution for agencies that routinely collect large numbers of discrete lab samples.  The STARS system is comprised of a field software application that optimizes the operation of field technicians by letting them quickly enter field measurement results and sample bottle numbers onto digital field forms.  The second component of the STARS system is a module that plugs into the AQUARIUS Server to automate the ingestion of analyte results that are returned from the lab.  As results are emailed or FTP'd back from the lab, the STARS server utility matches lab bottle reference numbers to the entries made on the digital field forms to upload results to the locations in the AQUARIUS Server's database.  The STARS system optimizes the efficiency of field staff while simultaneously automating lab result ingestion into AQUARIUS.
